About Osward VEDASTO

Osward Vedasto is an Assistant Lecturer in the Program of Philosophy and Ethics at Mwenge Catholic University, a position he has held since 2022. With a strong academic background and a deep commitment to research, he specializes in philosophy, bioethics, research ethics and clinical ethics. He holds a Master of Bioethics (MBE) from Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (2019) and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Jordan University College (2016). His expertise extends beyond academia to include qualitative research, data transcription and translation and report writing. Mr. Vedasto has gained extensive experience as a research assistant, contributing to various research projects in clinical research, research ethics and broader Bioethical issues. His scholarly contributions include a published academic paper in international journals, with more publications forthcoming. In addition to his academic and research endeavors, he has a strong interest in gender-based studies. As part of Mwenge Catholic University’s team, he actively facilitates training on child protection and safeguarding both within and outside the university community. Through his teaching, research, and community engagement, Osward Vedasto continues to contribute significantly to the fields of philosophy, bioethics and ethics at large.
